According to imdb it played in NY around X-Mas 2005 (!) and at the SFIFF, but that's pretty much it. I know it played in Olympia, WA...Go here to see the box office stats: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0422491/business

I still don't use Netflix of Greencine, but my school library and favorite indie video store both carry it. I think it just took awhile for both of them to get it.

xoCathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03097606384649756852noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4553186243852441598.post-8259962371877467642008-05-29T18:30:00.000-07:002008-05-29T18:30:00.000-07:00hey Paul, I'm sure you'll love the Intruder. It's good in an artsy-fartsy way.

I'm really surprised to hear about the difficulty you, Cathy and other are having getting a copy of it. I belong to two online rental services (Netflix and Greencine) and they both carry it. It's also available on Amazon for less than $20.

Yall need to lodge some complaints!Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09780573311870868638noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4553186243852441598.post-53000839226162893892008-05-29T07:15:00.000-07:002008-05-29T07:15:00.000-07:00Okay, you two have convinced me... I *really* need to see THE INTRUDER.

I'm a huge Claire Denis fan as well--the underrated FRIDAY NIGHT may be my favourite of her films, but BEAU TRAVAIL is pretty awesome as well--but THE INTRUDER has proven to be a tricky one for me to track down. I'm spending the day shopping in Toronto, though, so maybe I'll be able to find the DVD.

Great podcast, as usual! (And for what it's worth, I *love* WE OWN THE NIGHT, but I'd be very interested to hear your take on it.)Paul Matwychukhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01917384620564525389noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4553186243852441598.post-55290130108977528082008-05-28T21:22:00.000-07:002008-05-28T21:22:00.000-07:00I love you, Frenchpostfeminism!I love you, Frenchpostfeminism!Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03097606384649756852noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4553186243852441598.post-68335659305373061222008-05-28T21:09:00.000-07:002008-05-28T21:09:00.000-07:00Hey FPF, My best guess is Miami. I wonder where they live...and would give anything to be invited to that fete de quartier!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4553186243852441598.post-4524812146288143182008-05-26T17:33:00.000-07:002008-05-26T17:33:00.000-07:00hey Lauren, thanks for listening to the show, I'm ...hey Lauren, thanks for listening to the show, I'm glad you enjoy it.

Yeah, the archive display kind of bugs me too unfortunately with Blogspot we don't have a lot of control over the character limit. If you subscribe to the podcast in iTunes it's easier to read through the film titles or you can flip through the pages on the blog by clicking "Older Posts".

I haven't seen any of those films but am probably the most intrigued with We Own the Night. How were they?

I think Dexter is a pretty amazing show. I love a serial killer with father issues. I watched the pilot of Damages but never kept up with it I love Rose Byrne though. And of course, like every other red-blooded American woman I love Project Runway!Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09780573311870868638noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4553186243852441598.post-50262580962662014782008-05-26T15:02:00.000-07:002008-05-26T15:02:00.000-07:00hi ladies! quick note to say that your podcasts RO...hi ladies! quick note to say that your podcasts ROCK! i'm so glad i've stumbled across your site. can i make a suggestion to list the titles of the films you've seen? the list truncates the titles of the posts and it's hard to browse your archives. i'm curious if you've seen: the visitor, we own the night, and i'm not there

or tv shows:
damages, dexter, project runway

thanks again for all the great stuff!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
